Biomedical Ethics Grand Rounds
Beginning in Fall 2006, SCBE's popular bioethics seminar series for Stanford and the surrounding community will be organized quarterly rather than monthly.  These lectures are free and open to the public.

SCBE Lunch Series
SCBE offers a series of informal talks, usualy monthly, which are free and open to the public.  All talks take place in the SCBE conference room.

SCBE Classic Papers Series
SCBE staff present classic papers in the field of bioethics.  All talks are free and open to the public and take place in the SCBE conference room.

Jonathan King Lectures
The Jonathan J. King Lectureship was established in 1991 to encourage the compassionate and humane care of all patients. It is a part of Stanford University Medical Center's mission to enhance patient treatment and the art of caring.

Program in Arts, Humanities and Medicine Events
The Arts, Humanities and Medicine Program provides a focal point for integrating the arts and humanities into medical education, the medical center community and the practice of medicine at Stanford. Sample events and programs coordinated by the Program in Arts, Humanities and Medicine include the annual spring Medicine and the Muse Symposium held at Cantor Arts Center and events such as Music and Medicine: The Art of Listening and a writers' symposium.

Revisiting Race and Ethnicity in the Context of Emerging Genetic Research
This is an inter-disciplinary workshop focusing on the "genetic turn" in scholarship on human genetic variation and its implications for the study of "race" and ethnicity. It is organized by SCBE faculty member, Sandra Lee, and jointly sponsored by the Mellon Foundation Humanities Graduate Research Workshop and Center for the Comparative Study of Race & Ethnicity (CCSRE) Research Network of Stanford University.

Ethics at Noon
Ethics at Noon is a weekly brown-bag forum presented by the Program in Ethics in Society.  Everyone is welcome to attend. Meetings are held in Building 100, Room 101K.
