Core course in Biomedical Ethics for the Scholarly Concentration in Biomedical Ethics and Medical Humanities
This course will introduce students to the field of bioethics, including theoretical approaches to bioethical problems. Several contemporary controversies and real clinical cases will serve as the basis for key issues including: genetics and stem cell research; reproductive technologies; ethical issues in care at the end of life; organ transplantation issues.
