Healing HeARTs: Get involved.
Healing HeARTs is a student group composed of Stanford medical students, and will be welcoming membership to Stanford undergraduate students in Fall 2008. Students volunteer for a few hours each week to work one-on-one with hospitalized children on art, writing, or music projects. Students also work to compile our annual magazine publication and visual-audio presentation of the children's artwork, which will be distributed to the families and the Stanford community. Students will work closely with physicians, art therapists, and life therapists, as well as attend lectures throughout their training and clinical experience. There is no requirement of previous art experience.
