Medicine and the Muse

Medicine and the Muse, an Arts, Humanities and Medicine Symposium, was held at Cantor Arts Center Auditorium on Thursday, April 20, 2006. The keynote speaker was Denise Grady, Science and Health Reporter for The New York Times. Ms. Grady's talk was entitled Bridging the Gap: Communicating Health Knowledge. In addition to her address, the event featured art, presentations, posters and music by Stanford medical students. Medicine and the Muse was supported by generous grants from The Osher Foundation, The Vera M. Wall Center at Stanford, and Helen and Peter Bing.
