Conference Registration
Summer camp registration has been closed. If you wish to register and
would like to be added to the summer camp registration wait list, please
contact Jen McCormick at jenmc@stanford.edu. Please note - the cost of registration has been increased due to increased costs on our end. General registration is now $150, adult meal packages are $311 per package, and child meal packages are $155 per package.
If have been unable to reserve a room at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country at the summer camp room block rate of $139 and would like to be added to the hotel wait list, please contact Paula Bailey at pbailey@stanford.edu.
Note: Please complete the conference registration by March 15, 2008. Hotel and conference registrations are separate. You may begin making your hotel reservation on February 15th. When you call, ask for a room in the block called BIOSC, or simply ask for it by name: Bioethics Summer Camp.
Cancellations at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country:
There is a waiting list of people who want rooms at the Hilton. If you need to cancel all or part of a reservation, please do not cancel it with the hotel directly. Please email (pbailey@stanford.edu) or call Paula Bailey at (650) 498-7869, with the particulars of your reservation change or cancellation. She will then work with the Convention Services Manager at the hotel to move the first person on the waiting list into that reservation. This process allows us to retain the rooms in our room block. If you cancel it yourself, we lose those rooms, and the hotel is now sold out. Thanks for your cooperation!
Hotel Room Alternatives for Bioethics Summer Camp:
The Hilton Sonoma Wine Country group rate of $139.00 is sold out. Rates are now $389 per night and the hotel is almost completely booked. Two options for anyone who was unable to book a room at the Hilton are:
1. There are rooms currently available just a short distance down the street at the Extended StayAmerica Santa Rosa - North. Room rates currently start at $104.99 for Wednesday and Thursday nights, and go up to $149.99 for Friday and Saturday, depending on the type of room reserved. Rooms may sell quickly, since it will be a busy time in Santa Rosa, particularly since that will be NASCAR weekend. There are two Extended StayAmerica hotels in Santa Rosa, so please note that we are near the Santa Rosa North location. Regardless of which hotel conference attendees stay in, all meals will be at the Hilton. Please purchase your meal plan when you register for the conference.

2. We have started a waiting list in case we get emergency cancellations in our room block at the Hilton. Please email Paula Bailey (pbailey@stanford.edu) if you would like to be on that list and include arrival and departure dates, how many in your room and your room number. We will notify you on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend that you go ahead and make a reservation at Extended StayAmerica while rooms are still available, and then cancel it if we are able to move you into our room block at the Hilton. This would be dependent on Extended StayAmerica's cancellation requirements, of course. Please check the cancellation policy at the time you make your reservation.
